Who We Are
Our Story
Iroz Motorsport was founded by Hank Iroz in Orem, Utah. Cars and motorsports have always been a huge part of Hank’s life. Growing up in Las Vegas, he would escape his five sisters into the garage with his father to work on cars. In that garage is where his love of cars and mechanics began. After working in aerospace machine shops and learning how to weld in structural welding shops in Las Vegas, he moved his family to Utah to pursue an engineering degree from Brigham Young University.
In Utah, he used his modest tools and Miller Syncrowave to start producing parts for friends who wanted one-off parts to make their cars faster. He was able to quit his night job through school and manufacture parts in small runs to provide a living for his family. That is when Iroz Motorsport was officially founded.
In 2011, he was approached to be part of the Formula FSAE Hybrid competition in New Hampshire with 40 other international teams as part of the capstone for his degree. Hank was in charge of the drivetrain on this team in addition to a lot of the manufacturing processes on the chassis. A 5000 manhour effort secured the 1st place overall victory for the university, competing against Ivy League schools and impressive engineering schools from across the world. The powerful drivetrain provided 1st place overall for acceleration events, 3rd place in the autocross events, and 1st place in the endurance event. This competition proved that he could manage others as well as engineer and manufacture high-performance parts in order to meet customer needs.
In 2012 Hank and the Iroz team moved Iroz Motorsport from Orem, Utah to our current location at the Las Vegas Motorspeedway. Today we work out of a humble 3,500 square foot facility and we are constantly growing. While we are primarily focused on the VAG group (Audi, Porsche, and VW), we occasionally take part in high-performance builds in other makes like BMW, Lancia, and FIAT. We have the capabilities to make any project successful regardless of the size or engineering needs. From oil changes to 4 figure horsepower builds, we are capable of doing it and doing it well.
We are proud to manufacture at an extremely high level. Please let us know how we can help your project!
